Here is the final result of this desaturated urban look:
Step 1. Take a street photo or cityscape shot, it works better:
Step 2. To get this look I don’t do my usual retouch, I open the shadows, and crush the blacks, blow up the highlight and boost the contrast:
Step 3. I use the H/S/L section to create this desaturated look:
Step 4. I use those settings as a preset, as a starting point for other shot that I want to retouch with this same mood:
